J.K Rowlings achievements
J.K Rowling has won many awards, including the Scottish Arts Council Grant, 1996; British Book Award, Children's Book of the Year, and Gold Winner, Rowntree Nestle Smarties Prize, both 1997, Birmingham Cable Children's Book Award, the Young Telegraph Paperback of the Year, Sheffield Children's Book Award, and short-listed for the Guardian Fiction Award and the Carnegie Medal, Anne Spencer Lindbergh Prize in Children's Literature, 1997-98, and ABBY Award, American Booksellers Association, 1999, both for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone; Whitbread Children's Book of the Year shortlist citation, and Gold Winner, Rowntree Nestle Smarties Prize, both 1998, Whitbread Prize for Children's Book of the Year, so many more that it's not even funny! J.K has three children and has created an online "world" called Pottermore.
