Her favorite book

J.K. Rowling's favorite author of all time is Jane Austen, and her favorite of her books is "Emma." She told Amazon, "I've read all of her books so many times I've lost count." She said she read "Emma" at least 20 times during so many book-reading sessions.

"For a great writer, she was the most difficult to catch in the act of greatness," Rowling wrote on Oprah's website, referencing Virginia Woolf to explain Austen's mastery of the book.
